Lecture: New findings on biomarkers for progressive glaucoma

This lecture will address the challenges of managing glaucoma, focusing on the limitations of intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction as the sole modifiable risk factor. It will explore the significant variability in patient response to IOP-lowering treatments and discuss the potential role of biomarkers in identifying susceptibility to progressive vision loss.

Participants will understand the limitations of IOP reduction in glaucoma management and recognise the importance of emerging biomarkers in assessing patient susceptibility to progressive vision loss, relative to their scope of practice (s.7).
