Peer review: Paediatric eye care in the spotlight

This series of peer review cases explores clinical decision making and practice in assessment, management and referral of children with eye care problems.

Learning outcome(s):

Registrants will have an enhanced understanding of good practice for history and symptoms pre-visit and during a visit with the parent/carer. (s.5)

Registrants will have an enhanced understanding of assessment and management of selected ocular conditions presenting in children. (s.7)

Registrants will have an enhanced understanding of common anterior eye conditions in children and how to act in a supporting role in the assessment and management of these conditions. (s.5, s.7)

Registrants will have an enhanced understanding of how to best communicate with children presenting with common anterior eye and binocular vision conditions. (s.2)

Registrants will be able to elicit good information from the child throughout the interaction. (s.2).
