Haag-Streit UK will be on stand E49 offering demonstrations of the BQ 900 slit lamp with IM 910 3D slit lamp imaging, Eyesi Slit Lamp and Eyesi Direct Ophthalmoscope simulators, SOLIX FullRange and iScan80 OCT and the Lenstar Myopia management system.

On Saturday 1^st March at 3:30pm, Haag-Streit UK will be presenting a lecture in the ophthalmology theatre in collaboration with Aston University entitled, ‘Simulate to educate: 100% risk-free learning through virtual reality’, with guest speakers Professor James S. Wolffsohn & Dr Patrick Wai-Ki Ting. The lecture will discuss how Aston University is leading the way with the country’s first dedicated optometry simulation suite, and how this has benefitted students, educators and most importantly, future patients.

Here is a closer look at the products that Haag-Streit UK will have on display:

BQ 900 slit lamp with IM 910 3D – The BQ 900 is Haag-Streit’s most versatile slit lamp. When used in collaboration with the IM 910 3D slit lamp imaging module, clinicians can benefit from 3D images and video which render a more authentic representation of the slit lamp examination.

Eyesi Slit Lamp simulator - A high-end diagnostic training system that enable trainees to examine virtual patients with a biomicroscope, fundoscopy lens, or gonioscopy lens. The Eyesi Slit Lamp provides the same control and degree of freedom as the Haag-Streit BQ 900 slit lamp. The highly realistic simulation of the visualization of intraocular structures in real-time provides a close-to-life training experience.

Eyesi Direct Ophthalmoscope simulator – A simulator that enables students to interactively examine virtual patients of varying ages and ethnicity. The simulator comes with a didactically structured curriculum, which has been designed to teach recognition of the most relevant pathologies within only a few hours.

SOLIX FullRange - SOLIX takes OCT beyond the status quo with new capabilities, new visualizations and new applications that empower practitioners to identify and manage numerous pathologies from the front of the eye to the back. SOLIX features a FullRange field of view that is wide and deep, yet does not sacrifice image clarity or resolution.

iScan80 OCT – Offering a comprehensive suite of scans, the iScan80 is a fully-integrated system which includes a full suite of retina, optic nerve and anterior segment scans. It detects the eye to be scanned, aligns the camera over the pupil and optimizes the scan signal strength. iScan80 performs all of the focus and alignment operations, while talking the patient through the entire exam, in one of 12 different languages.

Lenstar Myopia – The Lenstar Myopia offers supreme myopia management, enabling eye care professionals to obtain fast, precise measurements and quickly and confidently interpret data to detect myopia. Lenstar Myopia includes the Lenstar 900 optical biometer, which is equipped for axial length measurements, keratometry, and vitreous chamber depth.
