Founded from an intuition of Luca Gnecchi Ruscone, since its inception in 2008, L.G.R's aim has been to offer a sophisticated approach to eyewear, producing glasses that are a complete expression of Made in Italy, conceived and crafted to ensure high-quality standards and maximum durability over time—a product of true excellence and design.

Officially established in 2008, the brand's story actually began earlier, in 2005, when Luca, whose family has long had a deep connection to Africa—his grandfather, Raffaello Bini, started a small business in Asmara called Ottica Bini—rediscovered some vintage Italian imports in his grandfather's old warehouse during a trip to Eritrea. Struck by the beauty of their shapes and timeless elegance, he brought them back to Italy, their country of origin. These models became the first source of inspiration for the creation of the brand L.G.R (named after the founder's initials) and its first collection, and they continue to inspire its research and design to this day.

All L.G.R eyewear is produced in Italy with artisanal processes, crafted entirely by hand by small artisan families who create every detail of the frames using only high-quality and durable materials: cellulose acetate, which, thanks to its inherent flexibility and durability, allows the frames to adapt to the wearer's face; ultra-lightweight metal, chosen for its strength and endless style possibilities; and tempered mineral glass lenses, a special technology that ensures optimal vision quality while offering excellent resistance to impact and scratches.
