Mr Amar Alwitry is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in cataract and refractive surgery, and glaucoma. Mr Alwitry has undertaken a Master's degree in Medical Law and undertakes a lot of work for NHS Resolution defending cases as well as for Claimants who have come to harm. He has written two text books and edited a third. He latest book entitled "Complaints, Litigation and Medical Negligence" is shortly to be in print and available. He has published more than 35 research articles and is arguably the forefront medicolegal expert in Ophthalmology in the UK. He is also a Speciality Advisor in Ophthalmology to the Care Quality Commission.
