Professor Ben Burton is an NHS consultant ophthalmologist at James Paget University Hospital in Great Yarmouth. He has an interest in medical retina, cataract surgery, uveitis and neuro-ophthalmology
He has published 6 chapters, over 80 papers and is actively involved in research studies for Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinal Vein Occlusions.
He runs the Macular Degeneration service at the James Paget University Hospital and was appointed as the trusts Clinical Director of Research and Development in 2015 - 2023. He has recruited over 1000 patients into over 30 different research trials. President of RCOphth 2023.
