David Garway-Heath
Professor Garway-Heath is the Glaucoma UK Professor of Ophthalmology and Allied Science at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and an Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He undertook his ophthalmology training at St Thomas’s, Western Eye and Moorfields Eye Hospitals and completed fellowship training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is a past President of the UK & Eire Glaucoma Society and of the European Glaucoma Society. His research interests are the development and evaluation of diagnostic tests, the identification of risk factors for glaucoma development and progression, clinical trial design and the evaluation of treatments for glaucoma, and has authored over 240 peer-reviewed papers.
