David is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Glaucoma and CCIO at Bolton NHS FT. He is also a member of the RCO IT Committee, currently working as part of a cross sector team to improve Ophthalmic DICOM imaging conformance. David also writes the Tech Column for Eye News and contributes to the strategy and design of the OpenEyes EPR software. Having built a highly connected device architecture at Bolton Eye Unit, David has an in depth understanding of how best to handle ophthalmic imaging device connectivity and PACS solutions. Bolton use ZEISS Forum as their primary ophthalmic PACS, connecting over 30 imaging devices.
