Dr Debarun Dutta is a lecturer at Aston University. After working as a hospital-based clinician optometrist for three years, Debarun completed his PhD from the Brien Holden Vision Institute, Sydney and joined the School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW, Australia where he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow, senior research fellow and associate lecturer. At Aston University, he is involved in didactic and pre-clinical face-to-face training of optometry students in ocular pathology, contact lenses and optometric clinical practice. Dr Dutta is also involved in translational research in the area of contact lenses, dry eye, and ocular infections and antimicrobial strategies, including supervision for higher degree research students.
