Ed Ridyard
Ed is an experienced consultant specialising in medical and surgical glaucoma as well as complex cataract surgery. He also has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of general ophthalmic conditions. Ed holds a substantive consultant post at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds. He sees private patients at the Spire, Leeds, and Newmedica Lincolnshire. Throughout his career, Mr Ridyard's work has been recognised with numerous academic prizes, totalling an impressive nine awards. Notable accolades include the Royal Society of Medicine Ophthalmology Prize and the Ethicon Foundation Grant. He is committed to research having published 13 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
