Dr Emily Charlesworth studied optometry at the University Bradford and worked as an optometrist in practice for three years. In 2019, I she returned to complete her PhD with Professor David Elliott and Dr Alison Alderson to explore evidence-based pre-operative and post-operative refractive management guidelines following cataract surgery, developed between both optometrists and ophthalmologists. Emily now works as a postdoctoral researcher/clinical research optometrist at the University of Bradford in contact lens research.
