Miss Fariha Shafi is a full-time consultant oculoplastic and ophthalmic surgeon at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where she has been appointed since August 2016. She is the lead clinician for the oculoplastic service in the region. Miss Shafi specialises in eyelid, lacrimal (tear drainage), and orbital disease, and also has an interest in high-volume cataract surgery. In addition to her clinical practice, she has published numerous research papers, presented her work at national and international conferences, and has received awards. Miss Shafi is also involved in ophthalmology training in East and North Hertfordshire and serves as a faculty member and lecturer on courses aimed at teaching cataract and oculoplastic surgical techniques.
