Gaynor Whitehouse started working in high-street optical practice in 1996 and qualified as a dispensing optician through Anglia Polytechnic University in 2001.  In 2007, Gaynor joined the Sight Loss Support Service at Focus Birmingham, a charity for the visually impaired. Gaynor successfully completed the ABDO Low Vision Honours qualification in 2010 and is an international ABDO practical examiner for ophthalmic dispensing and low vision. She was also the assistant principal examiner for The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers and is an experienced author and presenter of CPD.
