Giuseppe Giannaccare

Giuseppe is an ophthalmologist specialising in ocular diseases. He earned his medical degree with honours from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, Italy, and completed his specialisation and PhD at the University of Bologna, Italy. In 2023, he was appointed full professor at the University of Cagliari, Italy, where he also acts as chair of the ophthalmology department and director of the ophthalmology residency programme. Giuseppe has over 260 publications and numerous awards and is a board member of the Italian Society of Corneal Transplantation and Ocular Surface Diseases and a fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences.
