Judith Long graduated from the University of Bradford in 2002 and completed her professional certificate in glaucoma from the University of Ulster in 2017. Since qualifying, she has worked within multiple settings and private practice, before establishing Judith Long Opticians eight years ago. Having had a keen interest in emerging technology within optometry, she added ultra-widefield imaging to the practice last year to complement her OCT. Alongside glaucoma, Judith has a longstanding interest in myopia control. She is looking forward to being part of the new post-cataract refinement scheme in Northern Ireland and currently works closely with a local private clinic in this area. Judith previously served as a committee member of the Northern Ireland Optometric Society which specialises in providing support and educational needs to its members in Northern Ireland.
