Kees Sas is a former optometrist with over four decades of experience in the optical and ophthalmic industries. He currently serves as the area sales director for EMEA at Reichert Technologies, where he plays a pivotal role in the development and distribution of advanced ophthalmic instruments.

Kees’ extensive career began at Carl Zeiss Germany, where he spent a decade as an account and sales manager, specialising in ophthalmic lenses, low vision aids, and ophthalmic instruments. His expertise and leadership in these areas laid the foundation for his future successes.

Following his tenure at Carl Zeiss, Kees spent 20 years as managing director and partner at Friederichs Wholesale Netherlands, where he was instrumental in expanding the company's portfolio to include ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses, contact lens solutions and ophthalmic instruments. His strategic vision also led to a joint venture with Luxottica Italy and the management of 32 optical retail shops, solidifying his reputation as a key figure in the optical retail sector.

Since 2012, Kees has been with Reichert Technologies, where he continues to influence the development of cutting-edge ophthalmic instruments. His work is particularly focused on the advancement of tonometry technology, which is critical in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
