Kiki Soteri is currently head of optometry development at Specsavers, visiting lecturer on the IP programme at Hertfordshire University and education visitor panel member for the GOC. She has also been a voluntary elected council member of the College of Optometrists since 2013, chaired the education and standards committee and was a trustee to the board for five years. Her plan for this year is to enable optometrists to develop their coaching, mentoring and leadership skills as the new cycle of CPD enables all GOC registrants to gain credit for a broader range of relevant professional skills which enhance and complement their clinical capabilities.
