Mariana Carvalho is a hospital optometrist based in the South East of England providing pre-operative clinical assessment and post-operative care of NHS patients referred to SpaMedica hospitals for cataract surgery, YAG capsulotomy and medical retina conditions. Responsibilities include performing intravitreal injections for patients requiring anti-VEGF treatments and YAG laser capsulotomies and supporting the cohort of hospital optometrists and other allied health professionals working within the SpaMedica medical retina service.
