Neil is an optometrist with experience working in practice, education, industry, and head office roles. He currently works as head of professional development at Specsavers and as a scheme for registration assessor and examiner for the College of Optometrists. Neil has been involved with numerous professional organisations across the sector and is a member of the GOC education committee and is a past president of the BCLA. He is completing a PhD on mental welfare among the profession at the University of Bradford.
