Dr Nikita Thomas is a lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University and a registered optometrist. She graduated with a degree in optometry from Cardiff University in 2015, qualified as a registered optometrist in 2016 and completed her PhD in 2021. Over the years, her research interests have evolved to encompass a variety of areas in vision science including eye tracking, retinal imaging, psychophysics and the optics of the eye. In 2020, she was awarded the ‘Eye Health Hero' award by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness for her novel research work in nystagmus.
