Pete Jones
Dr Pete Jones is a lecturer and vision scientist in the optometry department of City, University of London. He also holds honorary positions at UCL and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He has a BSc in psychology (Oxford University), an MSc in machine learning (Edinburgh University) and a PhD in auditory psychophysics (MRC Institute of Hearing Research). Pete's research primarily concerns the development of new digital sight tests for use outside of conventional healthcare settings (telemedicine), with particular interests in glaucoma and paediatrics. He is also the founder and chief scientific officer of Irida Health Ltd – a spin-out designed to commercialise some of the portable sight tests developed at City, University of London over the past 10 years.
