Peter Black is senior lecturer and course lead for ophthalmic dispensing at the University of Central Lancashire. He is a past president of ABDO and is a practical examiner / practice assessor for the association. He has been published in Optometry Today, regularly contributes CET articles to Optician and was awarded the Dispensing Optics readership prize for best CET article in 2019, and in the same year, was awarded the Vision UK John Thompson Memorial Prize.
