As a Consultant Nurse Rebecca has had numerous opportunities for clinical and professional development. A most recent adventure has been to support eye clinics and cataract surgery in the Falkland Islands.

· RCN Ophthalmic Nursing forum committee member
· President of the United Kingdom Society of Ophthalmic Practitioners (UKISOP).
· Current place of practice is within the nurse-led cataract pre-operative assessment service.
Outside Ophthalmology I am studying for a part time degree in the History of Art through Oxford University Continuing Education department.
