Riccardo Cheloni

Dr Riccardo Cheloni originally trained in Italy as an optometrist and orthoptist. In 2021, he completed his PhD at the University of Bradford, working on a project that aimed to achieve greater accuracy in the diagnosis of glaucoma through the examination of reflectance of the retinal nerve fibre layer in OCT images. In January 2022, he has joined UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in London, working on a project that aims to develop outcome measures for future clinical trials assessing emerging treatments for hereditary retinal diseases.
