Sally is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in glaucoma, cataract surgery and emergency ophthalmology working at OCL Vision and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Among other roles, Sally is the deputy division director for quality and safety, surgery and cancer division at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The role demonstrates her commitment to ensure she is always at the forefront of best practice medicine. Her passion for education continued in her consultant post and was awarded the Silver Scalpel Award after being nominated by trainees at the Western Eye Hospital as best surgical trainer. She is also the secretary of the ophthalmic division of the Royal Society of Medicine and continues to be involved in both chairing and organising educational events. She has presented her work at several meetings, published in peer reviewed journals, and has written two book chapters. She continues to be actively involved in research both within her hospital and in larger national trials.
