Usman Hussain
Usman is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with over a decade of experience in the treatment and diagnosis of eye conditions including corneal and cataract surgery. He gained his primary medical qualification in 2005 at Guy's, King's & St. Thomas' School of Medicine, then undertook his training in ophthalmology in the East of England with renowned experts in the field. During his time spent training, Usman was awarded for his outstanding ophthalmology research by Cambridge University, winning the Marie Comer prize and the John Cairns Memorial Prize. This research included advanced corneal graft surgery techniques and laser assisted cataract surgery. Since his consultant appointment, Usman has been revered for his remarkable contributions to the field of ophthalmology and is also an active member of the teaching community, being the ophthalmology college tutor at West Suffolk Hospital and also sitting on the East of England School of Ophthalmology Training Committee.
